Ok, so I got the urgre to start writing a book. It's not a fan-fic or anything, it's a book, a real story. I need help deciding a good plot for it, so if anyone can think of anything good, here's the opening to it...
"All I can see are signs—signs everywhere. “Never look when your eyes are closed,” I was always told; yet the ominous traces of deadly treachery are creeping closer and closer to my body, my soul. They’re tracing every line on my back as if to seep into me, as if their hunger longs to be a part of my very bones. No matter how much I long for it, I can’t convince myself that I’m fine.
This morning the man who follows me around in my house was armed. I could see him from the kitchen slowly emerging from a room far away down the hallway. He had a gun—a small one, so he could carefully conceal it when he didn’t want to use it. But he wanted it revealed when he saw me; I retreated behind the wall. I had never felt such a thankfulness of having thick, white walls, but when he shot at them, they weren’t strong enough. If I ran to the back door, would he see me? Would I have enough time to disengage both locks, open the door, and run far enough away to a temporary sanctuary? But when I stopped and thought, he was already gone.
Tonight he is unarmed. He shows up for a brief moment while I’m walking out into the hallway from the bathroom, walking into the unending darkness with very limited light. I take a look behind my shoulder to meet eyes with him, but he’s not there. He’s always dissolved by contact.
I guess I understand that unused quote. If I never look, he will never be there. I can only feel him when I see him. After that, he just stalks my heart like a hunter hiding in the foliage, waiting to strike at my moment of weakness."
If you don't quite understand it, it's talking about this girl who keeps sensing that bad things are going to happen. And on top of that, she keeps hallucinating for breif moments that a man is following her.
Thoughts, comments, help? Plot?
