Warped Tour '08

OMG I MET KATY PERRY! I've never been to Warped Tour before, but when I heard that Katy Perry was performing, I just HAD to go! I went with my friends and was there just about all day. Here is my amazing story of how I got to meet Katy Perry. I found her merch. tent shortly after arriving, and saw that she was doing signings. I kept checking back at the stand to confirm when the line for the signing was going to start. The girls running the tent (her friends) kept telling me that she might not come and I got kinda bummed. When I check in later, they gave me some insider info. Since I had been checking in all day, they told me that she would be at her tent around 4:00 and if I arrived at the tent at 3:45, they would make me first in line. So of course I came back at 4:45 and they marked my hand in permanent marker with a "1". I changed into my gray Katy Perry shirt that I bought (it reads 'KATY PERRY SLEPT HERE') and I patiently waited. When she finally arrived I got all nervous and excited and started babbling about how I only came to see her and that I love her song "I'm Still Breathing" so much and that I think she 's great and yadda yadda yadda. She has a song called "Ur So Gay" in which the chorus goes "You're so gay and you don't even like boys." So I told her "By the way Katy, I'm so gay and I DO like boys!" And she looked up from signing my CD and said "Yeah, I noticed." It was quite funny. She turned out to be so sweet and fun and I was SO happy to be able to meet her, considering she's currently fighting for my top spot of favorite album of all time. Afterwards, my cousin and I ran to the stage where she was going to be at and got there over an hour early so that we could weasel our ways to the very front of the stage since it wasn't crowded yet due to the terrible band currently playing. About an hour later, she finally came out and I was one of the lucky few people to be at the very front of the stage. I turned around and saw that there were hundreds of people as far as the eye could see behind us. We were SO lucky we got there early or we would have never been even remotely close to her. She sang GREAT live and chose her best songs. I don't remember the set order except for the first and last songs, but here are the ones she performed:

It was an amazing performance. She was wearing a cute blue dress and did a cartwheel and showed off her cute polka dotted panties! It was the coolest thing I got to do this summer and I couldn't have asked for a better time. Here are scans of the stuff she autographed for me.
