I got this when I was a member of a music club, which was weird because they usually only carried mainstream music. I had no idea who they were but in the album description on the catalogue it said Danish Dance Group, so I said what the heck and ordered it. When I got it, I saw the cover for the first time and thought of Aqua which got me excited, when I heard it I couldn’t stop listening, I fell in love, it is Hi NRG Euro Dance with catchy lyrics. I instantly placed this among my favorites right away.
1. Superhero- Bass beat dominated song with a keyboard sound great vocals, I love how she starts deep and takes it high, I personally love singers with deep voices. Trine’s voice gets raspy at times but in a weird way it works and definitely stands out.
2. Call Girl- Great bass beat and lyrics, really fun song to dance and sing too, my type of songs like I have mentioned in my other reviews are the ones with some kind of scat in the song, in my opinion that makes it catchier.
3. Together Forever (The Cyber Pet Song) - This song is mellower in comparison to the other songs, the beat is not so great but the lyrics make up for that.
4. Be My Lover- Definitely more Euro-Dance than bubblegum but is one of my favorites just because the patterned changed and the beat was transformed and is really amazing, I love it, and the lyrics are also great. I used to play this song so loud that even my neighbor was singing to it.
5. In the Middle of the Night- Not a fan of the slow songs unless the vocals and chorus are good, which is true for this song, the beat is really steady and her vocals change from high to low.
6. Toy Boy- Definitely my favorite, it starts out with a scat and leads you into a great fast beat, really silly catchy lyrics, this song is great and it’s the type of song that makes it worth buying the album, I really can't say much about this song except that “I love it”.
7. Tic Toc- Summer influenced song most definitely, with a great bass beat and great hooks, the lyrics and vocals are great and its progression is amazing.
8. Sea of Love- there are a lot of versions of this song floating around but this version is really good because of her vocals and the background beats, I have definitely heard a couple of versions and this one always seems to come to mind as the best.
9. Antonio- really catchy song with great beats, at times this song reminds me of Crush- Jelly Head.
10. Land of the Living- Great song really upbeat and concludes this album great with a mix of beats from all the songs, the male vocals are really fun to listen to, this song is definitely very different from the happy sound of all the other songs.
Daze is a great dance group; I give this album a 10 for their great projection of Euro-Dance and for producing such great songs.
