It's been almost ten years since we've heard anything from FroggyMix/B-tina/Bettina Antoni/Krystyna Ferencowicz. Her first solo (?) album as FroggyMix was actually quite commercially successful and charted pretty well for what it was, and while I don't know how her proper solo pop album (as B-tina, this time) fared, at....least it didn't re-use flop singles and label them as new b-sides? (Music, by the way, is most definitely just this single re-labeled as a Froggymix song for the Canadian release of No Nagging; I am 90% sure of it. I only know of one other band who's done this so shamelessly, and they're a comedy band. Oops)
I found out about this a few weeks ago and forgot to post about it, but at the time of my accidentally stumbling upon it, there was no music video, and the only webpage I found that acknowledged it was her official Facebook page (?) and Juno Download. I initially assumed that it was fake but now there's a legit music video and a really lackluster, autotuned-to-heck guest accompaniment by Snoop Dogg/Lion himself (what even caused this meetup to happen what no) so that cinches it, I guess.
What are your thoughts on this unlikely matchup, or - geeze - the unlikely reunion? What are your feelings on the song itself? Is anyone else confused as to why this was released under the Froggymix moniker, when the promotional material and the music style seem to lean more towards the B-tina releases? Are you glad that you don't have to look at cheaply green-screened backgrounds and women flying around with scary eyebrows again? How do you think this collaboration happened?
