Every year, the campground I go to holds two Halloween weekends- this year it's the weekends of the 13th and the 20th. I'm the one who hands out candy to the trick or treaters on our site, and it's pretty much been a given that there's music coming from our site during that time. Everybody knows that we practically INVITE the kidlings to come along, hand around outside, and dance to the music, whether its Halloween or not- I'm the unofficial DJ. Anyway, all that back story out of the way, I'm working on this year's CD- here's what I have so far:
Little Red Riding Hood by A-Moe
Halloween by Aqua
Secret Vampires by Bis
Haunted House by Chipz
Scottish Ghost by Dr. MacDoo
Dance With the Vamps by E-Rotic
Real & Scary from The Fairly OddParents (THANK YOU OMEGA)
Ghostbusters by Fast Food Rockers
Horror Show by Holly Dolly
Night of the Raven by Magic Affair
It Is Pitch Dark by MC Frontalot
This Is Halloween from The Nightmare Before Christmas
Abracadabra by Tiggy
SOS by Toy-Box
Brains! by Voltaire
Land of the Dead by Voltaire
As you can see, my CDs are usually dinky little affairs, repeating themselves every half hour until people are ready to kill me. But this year I can change that- I have you guys to make suggestions and contributions! Just a few tips:
1. This is for the trick or treaters, who I notice are usually in the 5-12 range. So nothing that'll freak out the youngest TOO badly- I almost wonder if I'm stretching it with "Halloween"!
2. By the same token, not ALL of them are five, so I'm trying not to go too juvenile. LazyTown's "Spooky Song" is tempting, but it doesn't seem like a good idea.
3. I am not putting "The Monster Mash" on it. No. Just no. Don't try it. Same with most other common Halloween songs, such as "Thriller". I'm trying to spice it up a little. If the Fast Food Rockers hadn't done it, "Ghostbusters" would be absent.
4. If you have a suggestion, upload please? Save me the trouble of digging around Shareaza for something I may not even be able to find.
5. I'll probably burn the CD the night of the 11th so I'm not scrambling around like a lunatic (we go up on Friday night, the fun starts on Saturday).
Let the suggesting begin!
