This is the only music forum I know of that isn't loaded with elitist pricks, so I figure I'll ask here!
I've been considering saving up for a USB turntable capable of recording records into MP3 files. Something like this, though I'm just linking the first result on Google, I'd do research into which models would work best for me if I committed to the idea:

I want one for the purpose of ripping bubblegum singles that were only ever released on vinyl. There's a lot of them, especially in early 00's Italy, one of my favorite decades and countries for the genre!
Here's the issue - I've been hearing a lot of bad reviews about the concept of a USB turntable, claiming that the rip quality is very poor. However, I've learned in my experiences with music collectors that I have a very high tolerance for "very poor". If I need to look at a spectrum analysis to determine if a song is "really" high quality, then it's good enough for my purposes. I listen with my ears, not my eyes! But I'm willing to believe that the quality really would be bad even for me. Does anyone here have any experience with USB turntables? Do you think they'd sound okay for someone who can tell a minimal difference between 192 MP3 and 320 MP3, and absolutely no difference between 320 MP3 and anything supposedly "better"? I don't exactly plan on buying one tomorrow, but it'd be good to know to help my decision if I do decide to get one. I don't need my rips to sound absolutely note perfect, I just want to save some bubblegum songs from oblivion.
