I've been waiting a while to make this. Now I can. WHOOT! As is probably obvious (my sig says so, for one thing), I am a Catscratch fan author. Why? Good question. I just like writing for series with no continuity, I guess (less chance of canon coming back to bite me), and the characters are amazingly fleshed out for a kiddie cartoon. ...or maybe I look too deeply into things. Whatever the case, here's what I got. All hosted on fanfiction.net- that's my favorite spot to upload, the problem is just that unless someone is specifically out for Catscratch fic, they'll never find me. But I promise, guys, you don't need to have seen the show to get the main gist! Oh, sure, I reference episodes a lot, but all you'll miss are a few jokes and parallels (if that's the term?). The main plot should be clear enough. Well, enough introduction, here's what I got.
From Kittens To Cats Just your basic coming-of-age thing. Only with cats. I'll admit that at the beginning, I wasn't even TRYING. I actually worked a little starting with chapter three. The quality jump from start to finish simply astounds me... though I still wouldn't say it's my best work. Others think it is, though. You decide for yourself.
Sure Signs Wrote this for Valentine's Day. Features Blik and Katilda being overly gooey, which I will never write ever again because BLIK IS NOT GOOEY. Let's just blame the thrill of early love, I guess. Yeah. That's it. Also features a plot point that I kick myself for- I'll let you read and figure it out. I figured I had to follow through with it when I got to Strays (see later), but oh do I wish I hadn't. You'll probably know what it is when you read it. Some people would probably take offense at it and I'm terribly sorry. ;-;
Daniel Bla bla bla exposition bla foreshadowing bla. Just a way for me to introduce some other characters and actually get to write Audrey again. I kinda missed her.
Strays CherryCola (Ferret Freak nowdays) posted a link to this before, squealing like the lunatic fangirl she is. (I mean that in the best possible way, dear.) It's... actually really dreary, if you ask me. I liked writing it, I'm proud of it, but I think somewhere along the line I forgot what fandom I was writing for, exactly. (Hopefully) ties up all loose ends that the last three created. The whole plot was fun and all, but it took me 14 months to finish and I kinda don't wanna look at it anymore. Let's do other things before going back to this whole plot!
You're A Mean One, Mr. Blik Like I said, I was getting sick of the serious non-Catscratch-like stuff and decided to do something utterly ridiculous. Hoorah for digging out a song parody I wrote last year, tweaking it, and adding a flimsy excuse for a plot! It's cheesy, but so was the show, so it fits nicely, yes?
And as a bonus, a crossover I co-wrote with someone at three in the morning:
Jeopardy Don't stay up late watching SNL skits with your friends, kiddies. Otherwise, you may get some foul plot ideas. We came up with a bunch of doinky Celebrity Jeopardy jokes, decided the world had to know, and handed them over to Waffle (Catscratch), Leo (VG Cats), and Aryneail (a now defunct Neopets fancharacter of hers). And WE feature, too. Huzzah for self-insert. So, um, how shall I repent for this sin?
And a Danny Phantom thing I banged out a few millenia ago:
The Wulf Based on a character who at the time had ONE EPISODE. I somehow managed to get a whole bunch of backstory out of him. This is too stupid for words. Some of the ideas are just... BLARGH. I wrote it in a night over two years ago. Leave me alone. ;-; Only really worth a read to see how far I've come.
So, um, yeah. That's about it. Have fun. *flee!*
